Billabong welcomes a new face to the girl's surf team in '09, with Ellie-Jean Coffey joining the likes of Rebecca Woods, Silvana Lima and Paige Hareb. Ellie-Jean is a natural talent and at only 14 is ranked one of the brightest stars of Australian junior female surfing.

The beach blonde surf girl with a super smooth style and growing contest record lives at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast, but h...as been cruising the country with her family in a bus from a young age.

Having already spent time at some of Australia's best surf spots, Ellie-Jean's learning curve has been sharper than most, thanks especially to her home schooling which let's her surf when it's pumping and study when it's flat.

The eldest of five childern, Ellie-Jean comes from a strong surf family, and like all budding young surfers, virtually lives at the beach. In 2009 Ellie-Jean will focus on the Australiasian Pro Junior series as well as developing her talent through surfing new international locations such as Tahiti and Hawaii.
